OMPAN CONDOLES WITH DON LULU ON THE DEMISE OF HIS MOTHER

The Online Media Practitioners Association of Nigeria (OMPAN), Abia State Chapter, has expressed its deepest condolences to Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (popularly known as Don Lulu) over the passing of his beloved mother, Dame Peace Onyekwulechi Igbokwe, who died on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the age of 60.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro, and the General Secretary, Dr. Steve Unegbu, the association described the death of Dame Igbokwe as a huge loss — not only to her immediate family and friends but also to the entire Umuawa Alaocha community, Umuahia, Abia State, and Abians at large.

OMPAN members sincerely commiserate with Chief Don Lulu and his siblings during this moment of grief. The association shares in their pain and prays that God will comfort the family and fill the vacuum left by the passing of their mother, noting that her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

The statement further reads:

> “We urge the family to take solace in the fact that the matriarch, Dame Peace Onyekwulechi Igbokwe, lived a fulfilled life and is now resting peacefully in the bosom of our Lord and Saviour.

Life is not measured by its length but by the positive impact one makes while alive.

Death remains the inevitable end of every mortal — a clarion call that all must answer someday.”

OMPAN therefore called on the Chairman of Don Lulu Foundation and his siblings to bear the loss with fortitude and total submission to the will of God.

Signed:

Chief Promise Uzoma Okoro
Chairman, OMPAN Abia State

Dr. Steve Unegbu
General Secretary, OMPAN Abia State
