AS STAKEHOLDERS INSPECT RETROFITTED HEALTH CARE CENTRES IN UMUAHIA

Abia State governor Dr Alex Otti have continued to receive accolades from Abians in the hinterland and Stake holders in the health sector who recently inspected some renovated heath care centres in the state .

Nkwoegwu Health Care facility

At Nkwoegwu Health Care centre in Umuahia North LGA , the State Commissioner for Health Prof Enoch Ogbonnaya Uche who led the delegation observed that all the renovated health care centres in the state are to be fully equipped . that of Nkwoegwu he said have been fully equipped and Doctors and Nurses are on ground and they have since started functioning and people are coming in to receive treatment .Prof Uche said this underscores the importance the governor attached to the health of the people .He urged them to endeavour to register in the state’s Health Care Insurance Scheme saying it will make health care services affordable for them .

Speaking, the member representing Ikwuano , Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency in federal House of Representative Abuja Hon. Obi Aguocha commended the state governor for embarking on the project saying that the health centre is more like a full fledged hospital . He urged the people to protect and make good use of the centre and to ensure they will vote for the governor for a 2nd term in office . He promised to assist the people financially to enable them register for the State’s Health Insurance Scheme .

The Executive Secretary Abia state primary Health Development Agency Dr.Kalu Ulu Kalu thanked the governor for his exploits in the health sector promising that workers would always be on hand to attend to the people .

The Hon. Commissioner for Transport Chief Isaac Chimezie Ukaegbu who hails from the LGA thanked the governor for a job well done in the Centre and for remembering the people of Nkwoegwu he promised that the people would reciprocate the kind gestures to the governor at the appropriate time.

The LGA Chairman of Umuahia North Hon. Smart Ihuoma thanked the governor for renovating the health care centre to standard . The Chairman who hail from the area promised that his people would take good care of the centre and make good use of the place .

The team later same day visited Ogbodinibe Health Care Centre in Umuahia South LGA,where the Commissioner for Health Prof Enoch Ogbonnaya Uche told the people that the state governor Dr Alex Otti came to serve the people saying that when the present administration of Otti came on board in 2023 , the state was on zero level in terms health facilities but today that situation have been reversed , Abia today he said is number one in the health sector. He urged them to avail themselves of the services of the health centre noting that the centre is well equipped and well staffed and they should ball register in the on going registration if The states Insurance Scheme to make health care delivery cheaper to afford .

Expressing their appreciation the LGA Chairman of Umuahia South Engr Chinedu Enwereuzo congratulated the people of Ogbodinibe and environs for having such well equipped Ultra modern health centre courtesy of the state government , he appealed to them to protect and make good use of the Centre , it must not be vandalized he warned .

Contributing the Chief Protocol Officer to the governor of the state Chief Uche Nwosu who hail from Ogbodinibe Community , thanked his boss the state governor for remembering the people of his Ogbodinibe village and also for the road he is constructing in the area to make the area. Including the heath centre accessible . The Chief Protocol Officer also thanked the Commissioner for Health Prof Enoch Ogbonnaya Uche and his team for coming to visit the health centre . He promised that his people would at all times make good use of the facility and protect it as well . He further promised. that his people would register for the state’s health insurance scheme .

On the inspection team are Erudites in the medical field a medical team from Abuja who commended the governor for his achievements in the health sector , also on the team was the permanent Secretary ministry of health Dr. Mrs Bloosm Umar Kalu .
