ABIA CP Decorates Newly Promoted Officers, Urges Professionalism and Integrity

The Commissioner of Police, Abia State Command, CP Danladi Isa, on Friday decorated several officers recently elevated from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

The decoration ceremony, held at the Command Headquarters around 2:00 PM, marked a significant milestone in the careers of the officers.

CP Danladi expressed gratitude to the Inspector General of Police for prioritizing the welfare of officers and enhancing their morale through timely promotions.

He congratulated the newly decorated officers and reminded them that with elevation comes increased responsibility and accountability.

“Promotion is not just a reward; it is a call to higher service. As police officers, we are servants of the people, not overlords,” he said. He cautioned against any form of arrogance or abuse of office, stressing that the Command has, in the past, disciplined, dismissed, and prosecuted officers found guilty of misconduct.

The CP further charged the officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, deepen public trust through improved community relations, and lead by example in character, leadership, and service delivery.

The event was attended by senior officers, family members, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate the achievements of the newly promoted personnel.
