NDIGBO HAVE A STAKE IN NIGERIA

The newly Inugurated Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Umuahia North Chapter Chief Anthony Osukwu have declared that the Igbos have a stake in the entity called Nigeria.

Speaking after his Inauguration as the new Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Umuahia North Chapter , which took place recently at the head quarter of Umuahia North LGA , the newly sworn in Chairman of the chapter Chief Osukwu declared that Ndigbo are major Stakeholders in Nigeria and so cannot be relegated to the background . He promised that he and his new Executives of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Umuahia North Chapter ,they are going to protect the honor and integrity of Ndigbo, sensitize them on the need to assume their rightful position and speak with one voice for the right of the Igbo man . He Described their duty of championing the cause of Ndigbo , as a huge responsibility saying with God on their side , they shall overcome

According to him the responsibility bestowed on them is not of one man but the entire Igbo race . Any body that is an Igbo man or Woman ,is automatically a member of Ohanaeze Ndigbo. He said the people need to be sensitized to know that if you are abandoned , you can not abandon yourself , if you have been thrown ,you are not broken . He noted that though their task is enomous , they would not disappoint those who choose them to lead Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Umuahia North LGA.

Speaking earlier the Chairman of Umuahia North LGA Chief Smart Ihuoma congratulated the new Executives of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Umuahia North LGA for having been chosen to lead , he urged them to take their assignment serious saying that the Igbos are great investors in Nigeria so they are a great and special tribe.

Addressing the new Executives before their inauguration , the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Abia State Chapter, charged the new Executives to be worthy Ambassadors of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Umuahia North LGA reminding them that Ohanaeze Ndigbo is a Socio Cultural Organisation and not a political party neighter does it have any affinity with Politics . They should spread the message of unity , love and hope among Ndigbo.
