Abia Police Set to Begin Enforcement of Tinted Glass Permits from October 2

The Abia State Police Command has announced it will begin full enforcement of tinted glass permit regulations starting Thursday, October 2, 2025. This move follows extensive public sensitization campaigns and multiple extensions to give residents adequate time to comply.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Maureen C. Chinaka, the Command reiterated that the enforcement is in line with federal laws and directives on vehicle glass tinting.

The Command has also ensured the public has been well-informed through various media outlets prior to the commencement of the exercise.

Motorists who have yet to obtain their permits are urged to take immediate action by registering through the Nigeria Police Specialized Services Automation Project (POSSAP) at www.possap.gov.ng, and proceed to the State Intelligence Department (SID) of the Abia State Police Command for biometric capturing.
