High Chief Uche James Akwukwaegbu the Abia state President Abia State Council of Traditional Prime Ministers
The Traditional Prime Minister of Ibeku Ancient kingdom in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State , High Chief Uche James Akwukwaegbu have come out to say that contrary to the rumour making round that he is now a member of All Progressive Congress APC he remains a member of People’s Democratic Party PDP in the state .
Speaking recently in his residence after rising from meeting with the Abia state Council of Traditional Prime Ministers ,
stated that politically he is still a PDP member , he maintained that it is not in his character to hurriedly jump from one Political party to another however at the appropriate time he may take the decision to opt out of PDP or not .
High Chief Akwukwaegbu who is also the state President Abia State Council of Traditional Prime Ministers eulogized the state governor Dr Alex Otti for doing good works in the state . According to him new infrastructures are springing up every day in the state , the type one sees abroad , citing the new traffic light in front of FMC gate Umuahia as an example.

Speaking on the outcome of the meeting he held with Traditional Prime Ministers of the state in his Amuzukwu Ibeku Umuahia Ibeku residence , which took place on Thursday the 20th of November 2025 , the prime minister who is popularly known as BAWAS said he has been away to the United States of America for some time , so on his return he decided to convey a meeting of the prime ministers but the meeting he observed had a low turn out as a result of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s judgement that came up same day . However he said they had a fruitful delibration .
Speaking on the outcome of Nnamdi Kanu’s judgement , he frowned and said we are not happy about the judgement while acts of terrorism is on going in various parts of the country virtually on daily basis, the Perpetrators still move about unchallenged rather they are being negotiated with , but Nnamdi Kanu is being handed a life sentence . Infact we in Ibeku we are not happy , he strongly believe that the case have the chances of going to Appeal Court up to the Supreme Court . So there are still chances of seeking redress for a fairer judgement , he concluded.
End .
