Empowerment Advocate Wishes Constituents Safe Ember Months

Nkporo, Abia State – A London-based philanthropist and renowned advocate for human empowerment, Prince Michael Orji, has extended his heartfelt wishes for a safe and peaceful Ember months to the people of Nkporo and Abiriba communities in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.

Prince Orji, who is the Founder of the Hope Alive Foundation and the Michael Vision Movement (MVM), issued a public safety message urging residents to prioritize caution and security during the Ember months — a period typically associated with increased road travel, social vices, and heightened risks.

He noted that the end-of-year rush often leads individuals to engage in desperate and dangerous acts in pursuit of quick wealth, thereby exposing themselves and others to harm, including accidents, crime, and even loss of life.

Commending Governor Alex Otti for ongoing infrastructural development, especially the rehabilitation of the Umuahia–Uzuakoli–Ohafia Road and other key roads across the state, Prince Orji warned that improved road conditions could lead to reckless driving and speeding if not properly managed.

“As the festive season approaches, I urge our people to exercise caution,” he said. “Avoid night journeys and unnecessary travels that could place undue pressure on drivers, leading to fatigue, loss of concentration, and accidents.”

He further advised residents to remain vigilant amid rising cases of kidnapping and insecurity, stressing the importance of verifying the identities of individuals and locations before engaging in any business or travel arrangements.

“The most important thing is staying alive and healthy to enjoy the holidays,” Prince Orji emphasized.

In addition, the philanthropist praised Governor Otti’s strides in infrastructure development, particularly the completion of Port Harcourt Road in Aba and other major routes in Abia North, which he described as a “relief to motorists and a testament to purposeful leadership.”

Describing the governor as “God-sent,” Prince Orji reaffirmed the unwavering support of the Ohafia North Constituency and the people of Abia State for Governor Otti’s administration and his potential reelection bid in 2027.
