HOUSE MEMBER FETES WITH THE PRESS ON CHRISTMAS

The Member representing Ohafia South State Constituency in the Abia state House of Assembly Hon. Kalu Mba Nwoke have commended Abia Journalists covering the monthly Environmental Sanitation exercise in the State.

Addressing the News men in his Ehimiri Housing Estate residence Umuahia, the House Member who is also the House Committee Chairman on Environment thanked the press for their effective coverage of the monthly sanitation exercise stating that Abia State have continued to wear a new look following the good efforts of the state governor Dr. Alex Óttï and the broad based awareness been created by the press on the exercise . He urged the press not to relent in their job noting that both the State government’ and Abia House of Assembly are taking note of their efforts in keeping the state clean .

Speaking on the recent passage of the state’s 2026 budget by the House , the House Member popularly known as Etiokwe Erieokwe said the House had to pass the budget to enable the state governor Dr Alex Otti continue his good works in the state .

Earlier, the immediate past Chairman of the Correspondents Chapel of NUJ Abia State , Comrade Obinna Ibe who spoke on behalf of others during the yuletide get together thanked Hon. Nwoke for his kind gesture noting that the last time the press had such a meeting was during the era of Rt. Hon. Agwu U Agwu a one time Speaker Abia House of Assembly . He observed that what the Member Hon . Nwoke has done shall remain unforgettable to the press . Comrade Ibe urged him to continue his good representation of the good people of Ohafia South State Constituency in the Abia House if Assembly stating the readiness of the press to support his future endeavours .
