NOTABLE REPENTANT PDP MEMBERS JOIN LABOUR PARTY

Some prominent members of People’s Democratic Party PDP in Isialangwa South LGA have joined Abia state Chapter of Labour Party .

Speaking on behalf of the PDP Repentants, their Leader Dr Geshon Amuta , said they have decided to join Labour Party following the good works the governor Dr. Alex Otti is doing in the state and they desire to be part of the good story going on in the state. They pledged their unalloyed support to the governor’s 2nd term bid .

Receiving the new entrants into the fold of Labour Party on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at Isieketa, Isialangwa South LGA , the Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti said that the event is not a defection, but a reception of his brothers and sisters who had been with him even before now. Saying they are welcome to Labour party .

The Governor instructed all Local Government Chairmen in the state to ensure everyone is properly integrated into the party, stressing that nobody should be discriminated against , as the event of the is not a defection but a reception of those who have been part of them before now . Saying
we are glad to officially welcome them into the party.

According to him every body is equal in Labour Party irrespective of the time you joined . He requested the new Entrants to feel free to join in all the meetings of the party noting that there would be no discrimination against any body .

The Governor, thanked them for joining the party, and announced that work would commence soon at Okpualangwa General Hospital, adding that, work on the general hospital would be completed and put into use within a few months .

He thanked the people for the support that they have continued to give his administration assuring them that the government is theirs and would continue to work for their interest.

In their separate speeches, Senator Darlington Nwokocha, Hon. Ginger Onwusigwe and Hon. Dennis Chinwendu Rowland while appreciating the works of the Governor assured that with the calibre of individuals joining the party, the 2027 reelection of the Governor is assured.

Some serving Commissioners present appreciated the move by the new Comers to join the party, saying that with their entrance into the party , the reelection bid of the governor is a walkover .

Some of the new Entrants include Leader of PDP in Isiala Ngwa South LGA , Dr Geshon Amuta , former LGA Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South LGA Chief Chinagorom Nwankpa , former House of Assembly member Barr Remijus Nji , Edwin Ihejirika ,Lady Gloria Agomuo, Sir Patrick Njoku among several others .

In their speeches, some of the new entrants into the Labour Party, including Chief Chinagorom Nwankpa, Hon. Barr. Remijus Nji, Edwin Ihejirika, Sir Patrick Njoku, Lady Gloria Agomuo among others said that they were attracted to the Labour Party because of the achievements of Governor Alex Otti.

They pledged their unwavering support to Governor Alex Otti and his reelection in 2027.

The former Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, former SSG, Dr. Emeh Okoro, HRM. Eze Nelson Nmeregwa and many dignitaries were present at the event.
