OLD STUDENTS OF COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL IGBODO 1991 SET JOIN TO RENOVATE SCHOOL

The 1991 set of Comprehensive High School Igbodo in Eka North East LGA of Delta state have commenced the re roofing of some buildings in their Alma mater with green coloured modern roofing sheets.

Members of the Old Students Association (CHISOSA), 1991 Set,
called on other sets to contribute to the growth of their alma mater even as they the 1991 set, have started by
replacing the school’s building roofs that have gone bad .

In a press release issued at the end of their Annual General Meetings AGM which held recently , it was gathered that the old students association, reaffirmed their unity, love, and unwavering commitment to the development of their alma mater.

Speaking with journalists at the event, the President of the set, Mr. Anthony Mwabianke, described the 1991 Set as a unique and closely bonded group comprising both male and female members residing within and outside Nigeria.

He cited the renovation and replacement of school roofs with green-colored roofing sheets as one of the notable projects executed by the umbrella association with significant contributions from members of the 1991 Set.

He stated that the AGM is a statutory end-of-year gathering distinct from the group’s regular monthly online meetings, as it provides members with the opportunity to physically deliberate on critical issues affecting the association and to chart a course for the future.

Mwabianke hinted that the strength of the 1991 Set lies in love, unity, and cooperation among its members. He stated that these values have enabled the association to achieve its objectives seamlessly without rancor.

“One thing about us is love. It is our love for one another that brought us together, and since we came under this umbrella, we have been very helpful to ourselves. Whatever we set out to do, we always achieve it stress-free,” Mwabianke reiterated.

He commended members of the executive council and members in Diaspora for their dedication and effective leadership .

 

On efforts to give back to their alma mater, Mr. Mwabianke explained that the 1991 Set operates as a subsidiary under the broader CHISOSA umbrella, through which members contribute to various developmental projects in the school.

He cited the renovation and replacement of school roofs with green-colored roofing sheets as one of the notable projects executed by the umbrella association with significant contributions from members of the 1991 Set.
He urged the 1991 set
to remain united and strive to do more in terms of service and impact.

Speaking also, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Uyawanne Emeka, thanked God for the opportunity for members to reunite physically and deliberate as one family.

“This gathering provides us with the platform to brainstorm collectively on how we can contribute positively to our alma mater, Comprehensive High School, Igbodo, where we all completed our secondary education. It is a call for reflection, responsibility, and renewed commitment to the institution that shaped our early day

He also urged members to consider the younger generation, stressing that the association’s actions should inspire students and create a supportive environment for their academic and personal growth .

On his part, Mr. Ozili Ekwomegbo, a diaspora member and auditor of CHISOSA, 1991 Set, expressed deep satisfaction with the growth and unity of the association following his first physical attendance at the AGM.

Although he had participated in several virtual meetings over the years, Ekwomegbo said attending the AGM in person gave him a clearer picture of the commitment and dedication of members .

He concluded by commending the leadership of Mr. Anthony Mwabianke and the executive council for steering the association on a progressive path.
