The leader of the Ofuji Movement and former Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Dr. Chima Desmond Anyasọ, has commended Governor Alex Otti of Abia State for what he described as “visionary leadership” and a strong commitment to infrastructure renewal across the state
.
Dr. Anyasọ’s remarks came on the heels of the recent commissioning of several key infrastructure projects by the Otti-led administration. These include the reconstructed Port Harcourt Road and newly completed Obohia Road in Aba, as well as the remodeled Michael Okpara Auditorium in Umuahia.
Supporters of the Ofuji Movement turned out in large numbers at the ceremonies, signaling growing public approval of the governor’s development agenda.
Delivering a goodwill message during the events, Dr. Anyasọ expressed appreciation to Governor Otti for what he termed the “faithful execution” of the administration’s New Abia vision.
“The administration’s focus on rebuilding critical infrastructure is already easing the daily struggles of residents and restoring public confidence in governance,” he said.
He emphasized that the projects go beyond physical development, describing them as “catalysts for economic revitalization.”

“These are not just roads or buildings—they are strategic investments that are improving transportation, boosting commerce, and setting the stage for long-term economic growth,” Anyasọ noted.
He also lauded the governor’s commitment to sustainable development, highlighting the role of the projects in positioning Abia State as a rising hub of innovation and regional prosperity.
Reaffirming his support, Dr. Anyasọ pledged that the Ofuji Movement would continue to back policies and initiatives that promote good governance and enhance the welfare of Abia residents.
