ENCOMIUMS FOR OTTI AS TINUBU COMMISSIONS PORTHARCOURT AND OTHER ROADS IN ABA

It was all praises for governor Alex Otti of Abía State as the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria Senator Ahmed Bola TInubu commissioned Dr. Michael Okpara Auditorium in Umuahia and seven other roads including Portharcourt road in Aba.

The president who arrived Abia state on Friday the 3rd of October for commissioning galore moved from Imo air port straight to Umuahia the Abia state Capital to commission Dr. Michael Okpara Auditorium along Bank road Umuahia remodelled by the Alex Otti administration.performing the function , Mr. President who was represented by his Minister for Works Senator David Umahi described the auditorium as simply beautiful saying that governor Otti is a miracle governor and Dr. Michael Okpara as a great Politician whose style of governance was very beneficial to the South East .

From Umuahia , Mr. President and his entourage moved into Aba the Enyimba city to commission Portharcourt road Aba . Here the President eulogized the starling qualities of the governor saying he is indeed a miracle governor for again being able to fix the 6.7 kilometer Portharcourt road Aba ,noting that going by all the roads that were commissioned earlier in the day , all were the hand work of God , God he said have remembered Abia state. Portharcourt road Aba he Said that use to be a death trap , now wears a brand new look .He after the cutting of the tape , announced the hand over of the reconstruction of Umuahia Ikot Ekpene road to Abia state government. He appreciated the South East governor’s for doing Federal roads in their various state’s promising that work would soon commence on the second Carriage way .

President TInubu had earlier in the day commissioned several roads in Aba which include Ohanku road Aba, Ndoki road Aba, Ajiwe Street Aba, Umuatako street Aba, Nkoro street Spurs Aba , and Gabriel Nwosu street Aba .

After the commissioning of Portharcourt road Aba , the entire retinue retired to Enyimba Stadium Aba where the President once again extoled the virtues of the state governor Dr Alex Otti . He likened Abia State to Edo State where the governor is using his subsidy fund to give the people quality dividends of democracy . He reeled out the roads the federal government have done and is still doing in the South East . He said together South East shall be made great .

Several major political Stake Holders from Abia were present at the event . Speaking the Senator representing Abia South Senatorial zone Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe commended governor Otti for the roads he did in Aba . He pleaded with Óttï to urge his fellow South East governors to press for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu . The Deputy Speaker Federal House of Representative Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu commended governor Otti for the commissionings of the day . He requested governors of the South East to urge the federal government to build a Port in the South East and for the presidency to intervane in the destruction of houses belonging to the Igbos in Lagos state saying that Mr. President must surely grant them this humble request .Hon. Ginger Onwusibe representing the people of Isiala Ngwa North and South in House of Representatives described governor Otti as a gift to the state saying the federal government have named the governor a miracle governor and that is what he is. with his record of achievements , the governor Hon . Onwusibe said have automatically earned himself a second tenure . Ex Senator Darlington Nwokocha who is the Acting National Secretary of Labour party said governor Alex Otti is doing extra ordinary things in the state so he deserve to go for a second tenure .

Responding , governor Alex Otti thanked all his visitors for their kind words to him . He said the roads commissioned would enhance economic activities in Aba . He among other requests urged the federal government to give the South East region a functional Rail line . On the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu , the governor said he has been in talks with Mr. President and hopefully Mazi Kanu would soon regain his freedom . The event attracted among others a jubilant crowd of Aba residents who sang the praises of the governor, singing that the governor must go for a 2nd tenure .
